Inaugurado em 1937 como um cinema, o Gramercy Theatre foi renovado em um espaço da Broadway em 1998 e fechou em 2004. Três anos depois, em 2007, a Live Nation reabriu como um espaço para shows intimistas. Desde lá, o Gramercy recebeu shows de estrelas como Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Kendrick Lamar, The Roots, Jay-Z e muitos outros.
